Bioclimatic pergola installation
A roof that opens for sun, angles for shade and seals shut against rain, at the press of a button. Surveyed, engineered and fitted by us across Kent, Greater London and East Sussex.
- BS EN1090 accredited frames
- 10-year structural guarantee
- Free site survey, no cost
- Installed from one day

A bioclimatic pergola changes with the weather instead of betting on it: motorised aluminium louvres open for sun, angle for shade and seal closed against rain, draining through gutters concealed in the posts. Weather sensors close the roof on their own when rain starts, and lighting and heating build into the frame rather than clamping on afterwards.
We're an accredited Morvelle installer, which matters because a bioclimatic roof is the one part of a pergola where build quality shows itself first. The frame is BS EN1090 accredited, carries a 10-year structural guarantee, and comes in 11 Huescape colours. Installation is typically completed from one day once the base is ready, with lead times usually running 3 to 6 weeks from order. If you only want shade for a few weeks each summer and will not use the space in winter, a manual crank roof costs considerably less than a motorised one, and we will tell you that at the survey rather than after it.

★★★★★Sadie GoodwinPergola with lighting and heating
Highly recommend Eden Grove. I purchased a Pergola and it's perfect, creating a beautiful dining space to sit outside longer into the evening. The lights and heater make it extra special. From choosing a pergola to installation Eden made the whole process easy.

Simple ordering process, delivery and installed within the week, very easy to recommend.
★★★★★Sam CreedCarport, Tunbridge Wells
Chose Eden Grove because they're accredited installers and the build quality clearly justified it. No pressure, every question answered, and the powder-coated finish looks high-end.

The ranges we fit
Is a bioclimatic pergola waterproof?
Yes. Closed louvres interlock into a sealed surface and rain drains through gutters concealed in the frame and posts. This is the mechanism where cheap systems show themselves first, which is why the guarantee matters more than the styling.
How long does installation take?
Most single-bay pergolas are installed from one day once the base is ready. Glass sides and electrics extend that. Morvelle lead times typically run 3 to 6 weeks from order.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not. Most pergolas fall under permitted development, broadly 2.5m high within 2m of a boundary and 3m otherwise. Conservation areas and listed buildings tighten the rules; we flag any planning question at the free site survey.
